January is named for Janus, an ancient Roman deity, who is pictured with two faces—one looking toward the future, the other back at the past—Janus is a fitting symbol for this time of year.

As we continue into 2018, it’s natural for us to do as Janus did: look back and ahead. However, let’s try something a bit differently instead of just reflecting on the past year or making New Year’s resolutions, use the next few month to consider what needs to change to Thrive Whole~Heartily in this year.

 What do you want to focus on for your life in 2018?

Who are you?    What do you believe?   What do you really need?

As we explore these questions, we discover who we really are, we can stop living on auto-pilot, just surviving and start to live with intention, focus, and purpose, to Thrive Whole-Heartily. Our choices can become clearer. We can begin to make active choices in our life, instead of making excuses or passively living with the status quo.

Remember to listen to other “parts” of ourselves, not just the head, for they are sharing vital information. 

  • What is your body telling you?  Is there knots or tightened muscles when focused on others’ needs, while ignoring your own?
  • What is your heart telling you?  Getting to the heart of things, what really matters most now?
  • What is your “gut” telling you?   Your Belly Brain / Intuition speaks volumes, and yet, it often is ignored.  What is your Belly Brain telling you now?

As we uncover, discover and recover the ignored aspects of ourselves we can find exhilaration and perhaps even optimism for this coming year, one day, one action, one small shift at a time!!!
